Safe Opening — questions
Can you open a safe without drilling it?
In most cases, yes. Mechanical dial locks can usually be manipulated open and many electronic lockouts are solved by diagnosing the keypad and power. Drilling is a last resort, and we always ask before we drill.
Do I need ID to have a safe opened?
Yes. We require a photo ID and reasonable proof of ownership or residence on every safe opening. It protects you, and it's simply the right way to do this work.
How much does it cost to open a safe?
It depends on the safe type, lock and method. Call with the brand and lock type and we'll give you an honest estimate before we come out — no surprise fees.
Will my safe still work afterwards?
With non-destructive entry, yes — and we reset the combination or code before we leave. If drilling was required, we repair the hole or replace the lock.
